Atmospheric & Vacuum Distillation
The primary separation unit. Crude oil is heated and separated into initial cuts (Naphtha, Kerosene, Diesel, etc.) in the Atmospheric Distillation Unit (ADU), followed by the Vacuum Distillation Unit (VDU) to separate heavier residues for further upgrading.
Hydro-treating (HDS/HDN)
Crucial for environmental compliance, these units remove sulfur (HDS) and nitrogen (HDN) from light and middle distillates using hydrogen and a catalyst. This process is essential for meeting the **Euro-5/K5 Ultra-Low Sulfur Fuel** standards.
Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC)
The core conversion engine. The FCC unit breaks down heavy, long-chain hydrocarbons from the VDU into smaller, high-octane gasoline and light olefin components, dramatically increasing the yield of profitable products.
Reforming & Isomerization
These secondary units enhance product quality. **Reforming** converts low-octane naphtha into high-octane blend stocks for gasoline, while **Isomerization** converts normal-paraffins into branched-chain isomers, further boosting octane ratings.
